July 28 - Dates

Jody and I have needed a lot of time to talk about things. Some conversations were good, some were horrible. There were fights, there were apologies, there were tears and smashed pots.

This isn't easy and I don't know what the future holds but what I do know is that God will never leave me comfortless. God is real and He speaks to us to know the truth and what we need to do in life.

July 27- Pyramid Lake

The McMillens are such amazing friends. Glad to be able to spend time together and enjoy the conversation, company, and sunshine!

July 23- Changing Tires

Jody taught Maria how to change her tires. Her red rims are life.

July 23- Mt. Rose

I think we may love each other. Maybe.

July 22- The Barbie Movie

Papa got Ella a barbie outfit for the Barbie movie. It was a pretty intensely emotional movie confronting gender stereotypes. The older girls enjoyed it and probably understood it a little more.

July 22- Reno Pride

Pride was very hot outside. The kids went trick or treating and got bags of random junk. However, I should mention that we got awesome sunglasses and everyone loves them.

July 19- Balancing the Budget

We had some big homework to pay off debt. It was humbling. We did it without arguing, out of necessity, and all at a random Port of Subs where we didn't eat anything. After 3 months, for the first time we have $600 dollars in savings, paid for Nina's tuition, and are budgeting. And it's peaceful.

July 16- Thank goodness for a good Papa

Whenever we need a break, or our mind off things, Papa to the rescue!! I would die without my dad.
