Monterey Bay Aquarium

What a fun experience to share with my children. The narrator in our final movie was talking about how he had never seen the ocean until he was an adult. Sometimes I really take for granted all the beauty of the earth I have been blessed to witness and share with my kiddos.

We loved using binoculars to look at the Pacific, having otters wave to Ella, and just overall exploring new things. We were really interested with the creatures of the deep exhibit. Eli has always been fascinated with the Mariana Trench. There is also a large a trench in the Monterey Bay and it was fun to see Eli make the connection and compare the depths of the two. He definitely has a knack for maps and gaging distances. A good problem solver.

The play area was a little too small for them, but they still had fun spraying water at the boat area.

The show at the end was educational. I'm not going to lie, I may have slept a little. Something about dark theaters has been putting me to sleep of late. The kids got to buy a stuffed animals, Eli chose a shark and Ella chose an otter.

It was a perfect day together. My children are my biggest blessings.
