2012 In Review

Ah, 2012. It was a good year. Top highlights included:

10. Fun callings.
I'm so excited to be a Primary Chorister. Church every single Sunday never fails to be a great day. It's such a privilege to be with these children and teaching them all about what truly is important in life. The music is angelic. I love every single song in the Primary Songbook and I'm so grateful to a loving Heavenly Father who would extend this opportunity to me.

9. Summer of Red Hawk.
Ahh.... how we miss you warm sun and peaceful poolside.

8. Mom Retires!!

7. Baby Teefy is born!!

6. Parties! Parties! Parties!

5. Great Music. Great Books!!!!
We especially loved gettin' down to Psy Gangham Style, Selena Gomez, Goyote Somebody That I Used to Know & a random Tamil Song Koulaveri. The year in books included the entire Narnia Series- 7 books, 2 books in A Wrinkle in Time Series & the entire Percy Jackson series 5 Books (Minus 10 pages).

4. RUNNNNNNNNNNN!!!!
Who would have guessed? Joe completed his marathon. I did a personal 10K. The girls ran their first race. And now we all having running shoes!!!!

3. Joe gets his masters degree!!!
Wow. A big year for accomplishments for him!! Way to go hubby!

2. Elijah grows and grows!!
Where does the time go. Our baby is beginning to be a toddler!

1. Christinoula gets baptized!!
Such a sacred and special day! We're so proud of her good choice and that she has followed The Savior. She is a shining example and we know that she will continue to do things that are pleasing to Heavenly Father.

New Year's Eve Bash

We ended the year with MORE FOOD.
Ah appetizers. Thank you. Giving me that extra 5 lbs to work off next year.

We were totally at the end of book 5 of Percy Jackson so we spent most of the night reading instead of the traditional playing of board games. What can I say. We're addicts.

Papa and Yaya treated us to a glorious meal. I fell asleep early. And voila.
The year was done.
It was definitely a good one.

"A-Fam" Christmas Party

The Annual Anastassatos Family Party was a hit!! This year Kelli & I were in charge. We went with the theme of "simple". While the decorations weren't anything to wow, the food was spectacular!! Definitely the best year for food yet!! Everyone helped out, it was great to visit, things were broken and it was great!!!

Nothing says Sabbath Day fun like kiddos drinking Shirley Temples at the bar. The cousins had a wonderful time playing together.

Gabby grew up!! I thought she turned 18, but supposedly is only 13. Christina fell in love with her. She asked her to be on a Parcheesi team with her and they had fun playing board games.

Thea Popi!!!

We tried to move this to take a family picture. Whoops.
OPA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We had about 50 family members there out of 85. It was a wonderful way to celebrate and end the season.

Annual Fancy Dinner- Although this year was only Semi-Fancy due to Paper Towel Napkins

We like to send out the year in class. We got fancied up for our fancy dinner which was actually not too fancy. I really need to get cloth napkins. Plus, I had taken a relaxing and wonderfully long nap instead of getting things ready... whoops.

Ah well!! It was still fun!!! We lucked out finding a tux for Eli at the thrift store. What can I say. I am a total thrift rat. $7!!!! Plus Yaya scoured for a bow tie...
Thank you Boulevard of Dreams, downtown ghetto fun.... but really, at least I know where to take my girls for prom. Seriously awesome dresses!

Handsomeness!!!!

Jody wanted a picture with him in his medal.

Ah!!! Grand Mammy and Pops!!

Semi- Fancy = Mommy needs to wash her hair!

I know. My little James Bond.

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas... the day after.

We got snow!!! The day after!!! And since daddy has 4WD we had to go play....
Now Mommy was thinking a little hill....

But daddy was thinking a trek into the desert.
Hungry Valley.
It was a little worrisome, but was wonderfully fun!!!
We got to sing with coyotes.
Sled.
Throw plenty of snowballs.
Enjoy the gorgeous earth.
AND... no one got whiplash!!!

When did my daughter grow up and get so big!!

We love vacation with daddy!! Seriously... he is such an adventure ALWAYS!!
