Spending time with my dad is the best. And we're so proud Bailey made it!!

June 10- Eli's Facebook Marketplace Venture
He's a hustler and getting free stuff off Facebook marketplace, fixing it up and then trying to resell. The only problem is he isn't 18 and got booted.
June 9- Hello Glen Duncan!!
And just like that, my room was packed up and the troops were loading up to help me move!! I would have DIED without them. Especially Ella who spent days helping me organize the chaos. A huge shout out to Luna who loaded up her truck and got my bookcase over and Jose and Chen who had my room completely cleaned out within 30 minutes.
June 8- Last day of School at Kate Smith
Nothing says summer like having to come into work for a half day on a Monday. It's bittersweet to leave Kate Smith.
June 6- He-Man Almost
Jody and I were ready for the weekend and his childhood remake movie of He-Man Masters of the Universe. It was campy and bad and kind of funny. However, halfway through the movie the power went out. It's a leery feeling being in the dark with strangers and the knowledge that people use weapons the wrong way. My immediate thought was there was a shooter, then someone shouted out that there was probably a fire. Someone was asking why people were whispering. We decided to just go. Because of the wind, the power was out on the whole block and some of the street lights weren't even working. We went to an Indian restaurant that Sharat from the RTO recommended. It was excellent and masculine and delicious! A perfect way to end He-Man.

June 4- Teachers Vs. Students Kickball
At one point one of the more athletic students, Alex's nephew, was like wait you guys they're good. I got 2 runs and a few kids out but for the life of me I can't catch a ball. It was super hot and the best way to end our Friday. We should have been doing this monthly!!! I will say the last week of school has me feeling exhausted. A deep exhaustion. I'm worried about moving classrooms and getting set up. I'm not really worried about co-workers, but it's just a change in general so I'm nervous.

June 4- Field Day and Almost Freedom
13 boys. Kevin. Isaiah. Thomas. Marco. This group was a group. I'm exhausted. But I'm also extremely grateful for helping Marshall manage his melt downs and seeing improvement from all of them. They grew so much and I'm so proud of them.
Jun. 3- Eli's getting ready for encampment
Eli loves encampment! He's going to be a lunch lady this year and has vowed to make the chimichangas smaller.

May 31- Papa's Birthday 76 Years Old (1 day early)
My dad is the best. He's so full of life and fun and wisdom. I'm the luckiest girl on earth to have my dad by my side. We had a "light" dinner and a cake with whip cream. It was lovely to eat on the patio and enjoy time together. Eli got Papa the best gift, a 20% off coupon to Kohl's.
May 30- RTO #3 Powered by Super Burritos
Very last minute I got asked and agreed to run the RTO by Karla. It was beautiful at night in Tahoe, I did leg 17 and it was 300 up and 600 down elevation gain. The moon was full and it was quite the run at 9:30 PM. It was freezing, but I warmed up quickly. My team was very nice. Everyone got along splendidly and we cheered each other on! To the point where we only got 1.5 hours sleep. Jody was a saint and picked me up in Carson. I was able to go home and get a nap and then go get the medal and cheer for Van 2. Jody got a little shot of something, we're not sure what (but the next day he went down hard sick). Overall it was a very pleasant experience! I was really lucky that Jody took me to eat at Perren after. We had eaten at Denny's and it was not yummy.
Leg 17: 9:18 PM 5.5 miles
8:58 pace
Leg 27: 6:25AM 4 miles
8:53 pace
