While Eli was at his Civil Air Encampment in Wendover, Utah... our home was unusually quiet. Jody took the girls for a surprise electric bike ride in Tahoe and they LOVED it!!! They went to the beach and when it was a little too cold, Jody had everyone pack up and eat lunch. They really had a wonderful time and the day could be summed up as GIRL DAD!!!

 

THE BEST BIKE RIDE EVER

Monterey is quite possibly the best city ever for exercise. The have the best walking paths, bike lanes everywhere, and great options for food. 

We started the day with delicious crepes and walked to a bike shop where we were able to rent pedal bikes (electric for Joe) and do a 21+ mile bike ride!! Ella probably 14 miles with Joe.

The ocean is stunning and the ride was definitely NOT flat. It was chilly but we warmed up with the exercise. We were stopping to take pictures often because it was just so beautiful. We saw lots of dead animals, but other than that we saw the Pacific rival the Mediterranean. It's so calming to be that close to the water even though the ocean is probably the most dangerous place in the world.

We definitely got a great work out!!!! I've been on the exercise bike ever since and will definitely be taking some desert rides when the weather is better.
