Scrabble Magic

We still have to make a Savage Tik Tok, however in the meantime we played one game of scrabble where the longest word was bitch.

Dry Pond 7 Miles

Alex introduced me to this hike yesterday and I knew it was a must do with the kids. It's long but really just nice. There is shade, a creek, and it's lovely. Not too crowded and very peaceful.

It isn't easy... but it's not overly hard either.

Thinking we might need to invest in a pass...

Jody had a daddy date with the littles. They enjoyed port of subs and lots of beach time!!

We at home enjoyed the quiet.

Friends are such blessings... Social Distancing at the beach with plenty of room

We had such a GREAT 4 hours with our friends. It felt like 5 minutes. The lake was stunning, weather just right, and we only had to be talked to by 2 police men.

Because seriously, when we have 6 in our family and they have 9 in theirs... yeah, it turns into a big group. So we just spread out and it wasn't a problem.

We are so blessed to have them in our lives. Keyonna is a sister to me and our kids are truly best friends! And thank goodness for little boys... I don't know what Eli and S were doing, but those squirrels didn't come back for our food!!

Easter Allergic Reactions!

So great hike. Little's are killing it.
Maria is having a panic attack and Nina is with her through it all in the back.

And then, I give Ella a perfect bar. Chocolate Crisp.
She is gagging on it and saying she can't eat it so I tell her to eat the apple instead.
Then 5 minutes later her upper lip is completely swollen and she starts sneezing.

Thank God it wasn't fatal.

She started vomiting and her skin broke out in just total redness. She couldn't walk and we still had 3.5 miles to go. Fortunately it was mostly downhill. Jody and I took turns carrying her. I was asking her every minute... how is your breathing. She was just sick sick sick and tired.

How does a small protein have such a large and horrible reaction?

I feel absolutely horrible. I didn't even think to check.

Thank God we made it home. At one point I slipped carrying her but I swear an angel was right behind me and helped steady me so I didn't fall.

Jody and I took turns carrying her all the way back. It was scary.

By the time we got home I was absolutely drained. Jody was so thoughtful and got everyone Pizza Plus for dinner and Indian take out for me. Ella was able to get 2 slices of pizza down and drank a big bottle of juice.

Definitely an Easter to remember. We watched some videos about Christ and I read some conference talks today.

Just feeling very grateful that Ella is OK. We are blessed.

Sand Harbor- Not Cancelled!!

So Easter (we celebrated Saturday) afternoon we headed up to Lake Tahoe. I was positive it would be closed, but low and behold.... it wasn't! It was freezing though so we left after 2 hours.

Still nice to get some fresh air and out of the house.

Everyone took the plunge in except Mama. I'm a wimp.

Easter Morning

We weren't sure if the Easter bunny was cancelled because of the corona virus this year. Come to find out... it wasn't!! Maybe the Easter Bunny hit Costco up since it's still open.

Everyone was super excited for their goodies!! Eli built his car super quick and has been playing with it non stop. Ella was screaming the entire time for her LOL doll, and let's just say the Easter Bunny knows how to make teenagers happy.

No more sharing earphones!!

We ate too much chocolate and jelly beans. Hooray!

Quarantine Happenings

Home Depot Builder's kits. Peep cars. And Eli teaching Ella to ride a bike!
