May 4- Greek Easter

What happens when you get stuck and can't turn around. You get through it. It's your only choice.

Such a bad snowstorm, such a great car, 4 hours to Sacramento and overall just an exhausting weekend.

BUT!! Happy memories, good food, and time together makes me so utterly happy. 

 

May 3- Celebrating 22 years of Marriage

We are lucky we are still married. Sometimes I wonder how we'll go on and then I remember, it's not the how, it's just do it. Day by day I guess. God is good. He'll help us.

One of our very first dates was a magical bus ride in SLC when we were in college. We took the train around town too. We happened upon a grand opening of a restaurant and got a free steak dinner. Jody recreated the night for us in Reno. Reno bus people a bit different however- insert a man vomiting on and off the bus, 3 teens threatening to kill a bus driver, and a mute bus driver who let us ride for free even though we had a pass.

We ate at the Biggest Little Steak House, rode the bus to the mall and then Joe got some coffee while an emo chick sang about straight jackets.

When I think about our first year of marriage and all that has happened. I'm so sad. I'm devastated.

 

May 1- Unity Grads

Jody was the keynote speaker at the TMCC Unity Grads. He did a great job talking to students how life is not a series of powerpoints, but actually going and doing what we love. We ate afterwards and enjoyed some dessert at Hobey's Casino. It's so nice to see Jody in his element and passionate, inspiring others.

 

April 28- Gladys Knight

Gladys Knight is around 80 years old and this classy lady is wearing high heels and performing like a 20 year old!! Her voice is angelic and it was such a great night. It was a late start and someone might have died in the audience, but other than that... magical.

 

April 27- BBQ and Babysitting

We got the chance to watch Ollie and Fin for the night. They were awesome. Eli and Ella were super good with them, it was rather easy because of them. Jody had a great bbq for us and we enjoyed some delicious smores after in our new fire pit! The weather is changing and we are so excited for summer!
