Having a joint graduation party was the best idea. We had amazing friends and family who were so supportive. Our Taco man was delicious, the charcuterie was mid, Jessica's cupcakes were tasty. It was a lovely day dedicated to spending time with those who we love in honor of Maria's achievements. Here we come UNR!!!!

June 12- Maria's Graduation
Graduation with a class of 400-500 means you're there 4 hours and exhausted. It wasn't magical but we were glad Maria got to walk with Joe. We went out to the Peppermill afterwards and ate, but honestly it was hot and everyone was just tired. Graduation from SSHS!!! DONE!!!
June 11- My Beautiful Yaiya
My Yaiya was walking and my Papou knew he had to marry her. He asked her father for permission and they lived a hard life. He played for the Yankees as a professional ball player for only a couple years until he was injured. He was a sheriff and got sick with kidney problems. My Yaiya worked her whole married life to him, supporting and care taking. I don't know how she did it.
She never complained though. She just did the best she could. I love her saying "Put it in one ear and out the other." or "Life is not easy". She really was such a good friend to me and helped me to understand what true love is. She used to call me in Greek, my soul. I miss her so much.
June 10- Elijah Gets a Brick
Eli got a cell phone in preparation for high school. We decided on just a simple phone. I phones are a mess and unnecessary time wasters. I don't want him bombarded with things that aren't Christlike. So far he's been having fun.

June 7- Girls on the Run
I got to run with Evelyn, Daniella's sister. She was great. It was super hot outside, but I had so much fun seeing her try her hardest and seeing her smile. I love her and her family. I am so lucky to do things like this and am grateful for the community I have at work. Also so grateful Jody and Eli and Ella came to cheer us on (Jody even joined the race) and then enjoy the frigid waters of Tahoe.
