Blessing Day Photos....

The day arrived and it was beautiful. It was very much anticipated and we're beyond grateful to have given our sweet baby a name on the records of the church and a blessing. My dad was sick with a deep respiratory cold, but he toughed it out for 20 minutes and made sure he was a part of the circle. He's the best dad anyone could ask for.

Joe was the instrument who gave a peaceful and loving blessing to Elijah from Heavenly Father. He talked about Elijah getting baptized and eventually serving a full time mission. That he would be a powerful missionary... he mentioned Paul's description of the armor of God. He talked about Elijah always being surrounded by love and that he would never lack for love. It was pure sweetness and happiness to the soul. Eli was awake the whole time and didn't even make a peep!
We were sad Brother Quirk and Brother Baclayon weren't able to make it. But we had Joe, my dad, Bishop Zappe, Brother Seavey, Brother Chapin and Bishop Stoddard in the circle. Since we don't have any family that are members except for my parents, the ward family really holds a special place in our heart. All these men are truly great men who we hold in the highest esteem.

And of course, we weren't able to get decent family shots, so we'll have to stage some later on. However, that evening we had Thea Popi, George, Jackie and our cousins come over. They spoiled us with beautiful gifts for Elijah and we had a great time visiting.
