Universal Studios 2017

Papa spent a fortune on us. Talk about ULTIMATE PAPA of all times. Seriously, this vacation was only possible because he bank rolling the party. One day, in a couple years, when he is old and feeble, we shall change his diapers.

Universal Studios has changed quite a bit since I was a child!! My goodness!!! It was so MUCH FUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We lucked out and the nicest family gave us a FREE ticket!!! I offered to pay them $20, hooray for me being a cheapo!! But they just said it was OK and that was that!

We saw tons of characters!!! Totally awesome!! The Minion area was very fun and had a cool motion ride. Ah.... the start of motion rides!!!!!! Glad we weren't changed into minions!!!

Ella liked to be held around them. They are just so big compared to her!!

They had fun park areas for the little kids who couldn't go on the big rides.

Scooby and Shaggy LOVED Ella and Eli!! We must have talked to them 10 minutes!!!!

PO!!!!!!!!!! Ella had no problem running to him!!!

The escalators were a ride in themselves!!

Eli and Ella were terrified of the dinosaur in Jurrasic World. Just TERRIFIED!!! It was hilarious. It was loud and the people around the dinosaur were saying things like it was hungry and needed to go back to it's pen. Again, another fun park to play in!

Everyone loved the Jurrasic ride. They went on a few times!

Enjoying a classic meal in a theme park. Not bad tasting at all though!!!
While everyone was on the ride, me and Ella enjoyed a ghost cupcake. As yummy as it looked!!!

Because sometimes you are hyper and love to do stairs. I'm at that point in life. CRAZY!!!
So much fun. Took 2 at a time. Loved it!

Fortunately the weather was perfect! Not too hot, not too cold!! We lucked out!!!

THE MAGIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
HARRY POTTER WORLD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Everything was just spot on as you imagine it. It wasn't overly big, which honestly, is kinda nice.

We met the conductor on the Hogwarts express.

Enjoyed the rides multiple times.... although this motion ride was a TRIP and Papa and I both got motion sick. I loved the (small) wait leading up to the ride through the castle. We saw Dumbledore's study, moving portraits, and the house cup point jars.

Ella LOVED the hippogriff rollercoaster. I don't even know how many times she went on it!!!

BUTTERBEER = SUGAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I loved the details and magic of it all!!!

Jody and Papa were super about splitting up so older kids could go on the rides while I took younger kids to parks or smaller rides. We learned some good lessons: Eat together. Cell phones are crucial. Never send children on rides by themselves, way too stressful.
Overall, everything was super smooth. On the Mummy ride, Jody, Nina and Eli waited all the way then found out Eli was too small. That was stinky, but what can you do! In the end, it was probably way too scary anyways!

The girls got to shop at Honeydukes for large bags of candy. Their eyes popped open at all the great choices!! (Although looking at their bags it was VERY similar to what I offered at Maria's birthday party)

What was really nice was the walk to and from the parking lot. Tons of shopping and great windows. There was a VooDoo doughnut, tons of restaurants, and this great candy shop where we found an all marshmellow cereal- no nutrional value added. Ha!!
