We had a nice treat!! Mya came over to spend the night!! We played all sorts of games and Tsum Tsums. Mya really loved Twister!

They needed a little help with the balancing. Not going to lie. It was intense.

D Squared- Discovery Museum & Doughnuts

I love my kiddos. They are my everything.
We had a great time at the Discovery Museum.
The littles just ooooozed excitement!!! Their eyes were wide and the energy was scaled high!

What a coincidence Eli just happened to wear his jet fighter plane vest.

The museum has changed quite a bit since we were last there. I got free passes from the library!! So that was awesome!!

The little ones really enjoyed the anatomy exhibit. I liked seeing my veins!! And also, randomly, learning about how much sweat our feet make. Eeew!

Body temps!!!

Ella was allllllll about the cloud. No fear. Up and down! Up and down!!!
(Needless to say.... early bedtime tonight. Ha!)

Every room was so entertaining! So much to do and play!! And boy, are my kids polite. I'm so proud of their kindness and the way they treat others.

Fish for dinner! Smells delicious!!

Eli was enamored with the flying tunnel. He was giggling and jumping up and down seeing how high things could fly.

A great way to end our time.... dougnuts next door!
YUM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My mom would have LOVED this place!!!

Lots of cake doughnuts, which were a little heavy. But overall, everything was really tasty!!!

Such a lovely day!!

VSA Free Art Day - Snow and No Show

We had a HUGE snowstorm last night- Nevada standards. About 5 inches. Fortunately, the snow deterred a lot of people from coming today and it wasn't too busy!! Plenty of space to work and move!!
Plus, it's so nice to have Ram in town and to go to events together!!!

Beautiful projects as usual and the kids enjoyed creating!

Home Depot: Periscopes

This one was a little confusing, but we got it... finally!
And now we can spy on our neighbors! Hooray!

Dr. Seuss's Birthday

We had quite the treat at 5:30AM. A phone call from the district saying it was a SNOW DAY!!!!!!

Heavenly!!!

We spent a lazy morning (and day) in our jammies.
We enjoyed a special breakfast.

Then made some Seussical Landscapes.

The kids have been doing Seuss art all week and we've been reading lots of his books too! Yertle the Turtle was a favorite this go around.

We wanted to watch The Lorax at my dad's but it wasn't on Netflix so we ended up binging on the end of season 1 and all of season 2 of Stranger Things.

Glorious fast foward button!!!!
The funny thing was Ella was really into it. She cuddled me the ENTIRE time. And thank goodness Papa had a spare arm for Maria to lean in too!!
He always spoils us with dinner and a yummy dessert- lemon meringue pie!! By the time we left my dad was shoveling 5 inches of snow off my car windows.... no joke!!! Thanks dad!!!

I love my kiddo's friends

We sure have been blessed in the friend department!! I love the girls my girls choose to hang out with. They are jewels and AHHHHMAZING!!!

This is Addy, one of Maria's best friends. They had spent a Saturday together and tried out a new doughnut shop. They love Tsum Tsums and talking about Stranger Things and google chatting in the mornings.

Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle

I will say, we do good in the clothes department. I feel like we mostly buy used and donate 95% of all our clothes.

I found 3 gorgeous dresses (all name brand) for the older girls for $1.50 each. Such a score!!! I love the thrift store by Smith's and will be donating to them from now on. I love that they are there truly not to make a profit but to help the world go round.

Free Pancake Day IHOP

I gave Christina the option to miss her first class of the day and join us, but she chose to be studious. Seriously, what 8th grader does that?

It was rather slow service unfortunately, but we entertained ourselves with their placemats. Plus we had Heckedy Peg with us, a favorite book with a spooky storyline and beautiful art.

We saved some for Nina and truth be told, I brought my own paper plate to do so because I didn't want to use the foam they usually give.

We recently watched Plastic Ocean and made some major decisions to try to eliminate more of the waste we make. Things we've implemented so far are not using straws at restaurants or at home, recycling plastic film on food wrappings, using less paper plates and towels, using reusable shopping bags... Maria even suggested we stop every time we are in the car and see trash on the road. I wish my heart were so pure!!

Washoe County Honor Orchestra

Christina was so dedicated! Out of all of Washoe County she was selected to join the orchestra and perform at The Pioneer Center.

They sounded absolutely lovely!! It was a bit of a drive to get her to practices at Reno High, but a great experience for her. Beautiful music!!

Of course, I ended up late to the performance BECAUSE THE flyer they gave me had the wrong time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
But I saw Christina and that is really what mattered. Good job sweetheart!!!!!
