It was cold, but worth it. There was jumping, lots of dirt, running, and laughter.
And favorite quote of the day from Maria, "EEEEEW! Don't splash me with that parasite water!!!"

Pyramid to Tahoe Trail: Verdi to Floriston Trail 7 miles

It was originally an 11.5 mile hike but we decided to go as far as we could. Everyone wanted to stop after mile 2, but adults overrided!

And we survived!

It was pretty cold. The girls definitely need hiking boots.

I carried Ella quite a bit, but she didn't complain at all. She did a great job!

It was tall and I'm spiderwoman so I decided to climb it. Ella wanted to try too... but... 30 feet without rope was a no go for Mommy's heart. I also did a little trail snow running to catch up to Eli and Nina who somehow got far ahead!

It was a beautiful 3+ hour hike. As a sidenote, don't start on Front Rd.... drive down Crystal Peak Road to get to trailhead, it will shave off 4 miles total.

2nd Saturday Art

We were at it again. This time we enjoyed landscape oil pastels and paper houses!

Maria made a great observation that it was lame they had exhibits about lions who are a vunerable species and then right next door an exhibit about guns.

We ended the afternoon with a quick preview of the 49er's game. They are doing VERY well this season and some treats at the Peppermill sports bar.

Happy New Year!!

New Year's found a bunch of us sick!

Papa was wonderful and took the little kiddos to the Fallon fireworks. They enjoyed a Dairy Queen oreo blizzard afterwards!!

When they came home it was to a house full of people asleep!!

Christina was feverish. Mommy was down.
Maria was up and Daddy was sleeping.

You'd think it a bad way to start the new decade but we went for groceries and up in the sky was a beautiful rainbow. I'm pretty sure it was God showing us His love for us.

2020 is going to be awesome!!

I was talking to Christina and apologizing for what a lame winter break we had with all the sickness. She made a good point... at least we weren't sick and having to deal with death like last break.

Things are looking up!!!
