October has to have been one of the worst months of my life ever.
And yet, we must keep going.
As odd as it may sound, I felt like my mom was right out there with us. My mom was queen of Halloween as far as trick or treating went.
And randomly, my last memory of Sissy was when her angry father came knocking at our door one year yelling and drunk. That was the last time we went trick or treating together.
On that depressing note, Halloween!!!
The costumes this year!!!!!!!!!!!! Sun goddess, Venetian Carnival Queen, Elephant (according to Elijah Killer Elephant....), and Poodle.
The weather was gorgeous. Absolutely perfect.
And of course we had the best people out with us!!
Cheek to cheek. Joe was in rare form. Man can't handle his sugar.
Ella won the trick or treater award of the night. This little doll caught on quick!! She was running to each door saying "more" instead of trick or treat. Then screaming with excitement when she got the candy. Surprisingly she didn't try eating the candy, just putting it in her bag. Once she got lollipops though, it was all over. She had one in each hand and was blissfully content the rest of the night.
Ready for more!!!!!
And God LOVES US!!!!!!!! THE FLAMING UNICORN RIDES!!!!!!!!
It is not Halloween without the dance party, neon, and flames. We are so spoiled. This year the kids actually got to ride on it. They were so excited. IT.WAS.AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!
And today while sorting (and preparing to graph) Papa randomly at all the Almond Joys!!! It brought a smile to my face!! Hooray for sugar!!!
