May 20- Bbq
We had everyone over for a large dinner. I didn't have to do one single dish. I'm glad to have my thoughtful husband back.
May 18- Wild Cat Richmond Trail Half Marathon
I'm loving our getaways. Part of me can't believe how in love I am and how lucky I am. Part of me is absolutely terrified. My faith is strong though in God and I know whatever happens I am only in charge of my choices. Radical Acceptance. Absolutely imperative I turn to God though. Only He will get me through this.
The race was unbelievably hard. The weather was a lot colder than I expected but I warmed up quickly. The elevation was 2,634 and my pace was 11:39. It took me 2 hours and 33 minutes. My fastest mile was an 8:55 but the hills definitely slowed me down. I was feeling quite good but a lot of women were passing me. A 60 year old woman glided by as I was walking and my confidence took a dive. However, I still somehow managed to get 2nd place for my age group!!! I was absolutely stunned and grinning ear to ear!!
I am a badass and it's only because God gives me strength. Jody did a great job and finished a few minutes before me with the 10K. We ate well to say the least!!!
May 13- BRACES
Moment of silence for the real MVP- PAPA!!!!!! #3 metaled up and ready to have a perfect smile thanks to the generosity of our grandfather. Our little heartbreaker is growing up.
May 12- Mother's Day
I was super spoiled for Mother's Day. Christina and Maria went all out on breakfast for me. Jody was in charge of getting all the supplies and he went Whole Foods wild. It was absolutely delicious and I'm so glad they can cook!! It will serve them well in life!! Jody got me an REI giftcard and I had beautiful cards and gifts from everyone. I was very grateful. My dad also got me a beautiful cutting board that I love so much! I never would have thought!!
Being a mother has been my biggest blessing in life. I never knew the amount of joy I would have in seeing my sweet little babies grow up in kindness and wisdom and in their own unique individual talents. I am so very proud of who they are and the light they shine for in this sad world. They are so strong.
May 11- Drake and Kendrick Lamar Beef explained plus Art Night
I love my daughters. They still like to spend time with me and I find it such a blessing and privilege to be their mom and see who they have become. Maria explained everything social media right now for me, basically another Tupac and Biggie type situation. We had Uncle Corey in town unfortunately on a very heart breaking situation. We did a paint night and I got some beautiful summer art to hang up on our walls.
May 10- End of the Year Work Party
This year was rough. By the end of it I was done. Love the students, love the staff, love the curriculum... wish I got paid more. But grateful for some time with work friends.
