BBQ- Rain take 2

Just wanted to mention that we went to our Ward BBQ and got rained out again!!! We had to move it to the church and fortunately got to enjoy an outside game of HUMAN PINATA.

My cheeks hurt so hard from laughing and smiling! Such a fun game that I look forward to doing again!

Hot glue candy to the back of a shirt and children chase the adult around grabbing off the candy!!

Of course, the main reason we went is because we knew Jessica would be bringing dessert. Her cookies and cupcakes were phenomenal.... yet again!

BBQ - Rain Take 1

We truly have some of the greatest friends ever that we have made through church. Serving with people brings you that much closer together. I love Shanna and JoAnn and am so grateful for their influence in my life. For their positive natures, smiles, and genuine soul goodness.

JoAnn is everything I aspire to be in life. She and Nancy Slater are my idols.

We had such a fun time at Shanna's bbq. Tons of people and food... and RAIN!!!!

We got SOAKED and had to leave in a rush, but it was fun to see everyone. Shanna and Buzz are truly one of my favorite couples of all time. And I sure do love their kiddos!!

I am such a whiner when it comes to Artown. It's just that it used to be SO FABULOUS!!!

I will say, Eli and Ella were way excited to get a free battery operated tea light for their lantern craft.

That was a paper bag they cut and colored.

Do I love that she loves drawing demigorgon everything? Yes. Yes I do.

She stunk. Sorry. But for real. She said we're gonna have a party. Gets us all hyped and then starts off by singing, "This land is your land, this land is my land..."

That is not how you start a party. And no matter how many kazoos you have, it still doesn't add to the party.

Summer & Tahoe go hand in hand

After church on Sunday, we headed to Lake Tahoe. Of course, Sand Harbor was closed. Everywhere was packed and the traffic was pretty heavy.

It was HOT!!!!

And we don't have air conditioning because it builds character.

Seriously.

We are spoiled, we can endure.

Eli was totally stoked to go fishing. He made his pole and paper fish that he attached with a paper clip.

Paper worms did NOT work!
Darn it!

But he's got more ideas up his sleeve.

After a little bit we found out Sand Harbor was open, so we headed off. The sand is just cleaner and there was more room.

Love my best friend. She makes the world go round.

It was a great day. A perfect way to spend Baby Joe's birthday. With friends and full of laughter and love. I even got to swim in the lake!!! It was cold but not so frigid I couldn't get out pretty far.

Although, I didn't touch the buoy. 

I got freaked out the sea monster from Jurassic World was under me.
