We hiked Mt. Rose for Jody's birthday early in the morning. It was gorgeous and we were able to catch the sunrise. Elijah did great too!! Happy Birthday to a wonderful man who has done so much to fill this world with joy.
Jody has learned a lot in life. He is resilient. He is a light. He has had the opportunity to give up in the most difficult of circumstances, and yet he chose the hardest way possible to daily show up for his family and keep us all together. I am grateful for him in my life and can't imagine a day without my best friend. He truly has changed so much for the better and brings us so much joy.
Happy 49th Jody. I wish birthdays were easier. Maybe one day they will be.
