Aunty Ramya and Uncle Lateed (rhymes with steed) were fabulous, fabulous, fabulous and got us tickets to go see the Nutcracker this year!!! Everyone was beyond excited... a million thanks Ronj.
We wore our finest dresses and best jewelery. (Seriously, why do my children have gold and diamond necklaces?? Hooray for Mafioso Italian NONO!!!!!)
This was Maria's first time and it was worth all the hype! She LOVED it.
I was feeling under the weather and so Yaya went in my place. I know what you are thinking...
Where on earth did she get that gorgeous dress.
She actually got it in INDIA!!!
Yaya was fantastic and bought everyone drinks (as in hot chocolate and pineapple juice) for the show!
The girls of course dressed up their little friends to take to the ballet also.
Ahhh...Joe is my mom's son. She claims him as all her own. She was never one for sharing and loves him with all the love possible in the expanses of eternity. There is nothing that my mom wouldn't do for him. He in turn has a special calming effect on her. It's actually because he's a vampire from Texas that was a general in the Mexican war. See how his left ear sparkles with rainbow? Don't let my mom's dress from INDIA distract you.
I have such a beautiful family. I am so blessed.
Off to the NUTCRACKER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Everyone had a BLAST. It was easily one of the top highlights of the Christmas season. Joe was very wary of going because he was basing his experience off of one ghetto highschool nutcracker we had gone to in Utah that used a CD player for music. He actually enjoyed it thoroughly and of course... knew half the people in it. PLUS... Clara's family was black!!! It was so nice to see ethnic ballerinas!!
The costumes were beautiful, the dancing was spectacular... it was just magical!!!
Thanks again Ram...
