I think my mom in heaven was saying, "*#%!&*" as we ate at Capitol City Soup & Salad.
It was ranked nicely on Yelp, but it just goes to show you that a couple weirdos can share their opinion, but opinion doesn't make for truth.
The only possible way to sum up this dining experience is to quote Emily Dickinson,
"There is a pain -- so utter --
It swallows substance up --
Then covers the Abyss with Trance --
So memory can step
Around -- across -- upon it --
As one within a Swoon --
Goes safely -- where an open eye --
Would drop Him -- Bone by Bone."
Yup. Exactly.
We also didn't really enjoying wiping our plates with napkins. We couldn't get fresh ones... soooo....
fortunately there wasn't anything we really wanted seconds on.
We made it to our hotel in good time and safely... Thanks Heavenly Father!!!
We enjoyed relaxing at the pool after the car trip.
Word. Maybe this could somehow apply to Capitol City Soup & Salad??
Unfortunately, we didn't have much luck in the food department this day. The food was good here, but there were more flies than people here.
Ah well, at least we had each other!!!
