Petrified Forest National Park- Long Logs Trail to Agate House

There was a great visitor center that gave the kids Junior Ranger coloring/activity books. Maria and Nina finished and learned quite a bit.

We did a short 2 mile hike to an old house that was used by Native Americans (and later reconstructed) built out of petrified wood! That's 225 million year old wood!

IT. WAS. WINDY!!!!

Also, due to all the fun and lack of sleep (and possibly water)... Ella, Eli, and Maria (Bell Rock, Agate, Loma Alta respectively) had melt downs during the hikes. Fortunately, they pep back up quickly and it's nothing too distracting.

So Nina, congratulations. You get BEST HIKER AWARD of the trip!!!!!!!!!

And not just because you didn't whine but because you were one with nature.... truly, get low get low.
So proud of you. Being female in nature can be complicated.

These legs were made for walking and that's just what they'll do!!!!
