Proud of Our Daddy

Joe.

Our "Liberal goofy professor at UNR... burnout from dope smok'in hippie days at Berkley. Waste of oxygen, infiltrating the brains of our young!" According to one fine cowboy commenter of the west.

Why is there an apostrophe on smok'in. Shouldn't it be smokin'?

Get your freaking slang spelling correct.
TROLL KKK member.

And seriously, the exclamation mark at the end just makes them an 80 year old in a wheel chair shaking their fist. They should have put infiltrat'in instead.

It really is kind of amazing how often Joe gets on the news.

RENO, Nev. (MyNews4.com & KRNV) -- Dozens of UNR students participated in a "Die-In" protest on campus Tuesday.

"We in Reno, we're a small city, but we care about the events happening across America," said UNR student Chenay Arberry.

More than 100 UNR students came together to protest on campus Tuesday. This was the third demonstration held in Reno within the last week, in response to recent grand jury decisions in Ferguson and New York.

The goal, students said, was to start an open discussion on racism. "This is a protest to bring awareness around racism and police brutality that still exists in our country," said UNR student Escenthio Marigny.

Students laid on the ground inside the library for 4 minutes and 50 seconds. "In remembrance of Mike Brown who lied down in the streets for 4 hours and 50 minutes before anyone touched his body," said Arberry.

It ended with chanting of "I can't breathe," eleven times for Eric Garner. "That's how many times Eric Gardner said, 'I can't breathe' before he passed."

Students said by lying on the ground, it made the protest a peaceful way for them to get their message across, unlike many of the demonstrations seen across the country. "It's just a good environment and atmosphere for it to happen."

Teachers also joined in on the demonstration. "I think this is amazing and I really like to see our students out and sharing their voice as opposed to keeping it inside and feeling the pains," said UNR instructor Jody Lykes.

Another demonstration is scheduled again this Friday at Wingfield Park at 6 p.m.
