Enjoying Pink Floyd

I've never really been a fan of "rock" but lately it's grown on me. That is to say the rock of the 60's and early 70's. We turn on the Sirius Classic Vinyl and take pictures. I can even recognize songs by Creedance Clearwater Revival and Pink Floyd. My father is proud seeing as his favorite was Deep Purple. Christina as a young baby prefered reggae and r&b, and while Maria still enjoys Bob Marley before bed, it's Led Zepplin that really gets her excited as you can see.

Our Favorite Hope Floats

So my beloved Hope, Freshman roomate- Stover hall, thank you urinals in the girls bathroom, came to visit us and play with the girls! She was the whole reason I went to Black Student Union at BYU and met my husband. Hooray for her! She recently found out she has MS, which is crap, but at least we know why she is a bad driver now. Thank you, driving into trees and hitting pedestrians. Over the weekend with her we enjoyed some lovely buffets, chick flicks and shopping. Although I was shocked there was no one at the mall on Monday... I thought Memorial Day was all about shopping? I was later informed it was more about going camping? Say what?

Mating and Creating Life

So our congratulations go out to dear Ramya and Lateef, you are class and elegance at it's finest. We look forward to the day that you create life and carry on the Duransinmi (sp?) name. The real question is, am I just exploiting this picture? The answer, yes. I feel as though I have an obligation to show the world what a fantastic picture really is.

*As a side note, this is why NV is the most fantastic state. Because at casinos you can take your pictures and have them super-imposed on other's bodies. They chose the white body builder's bodies. Creepy, yes. Christmas card pose, I think so.

Our Visions in Yellow

Christina and Maria and like two peas in a pod. They dote on each other constantly and I'm amazed everyday by the special angels they are. Maria is now 3 months old and quite the happy baby. She loves to eat, every hour on the dot, and fortunately I get a 3 hour break at night. She is 14 1/2 lbs and loves to talk and giggle. However, Maria can't stand her car seat and often Christina will say, "Only a few more months, then the crying won't drive me nuts."

Love of Inanimate Objects

Christina has recently taken to loving "things". Whether it be roast beef, half and half, a piece of paper or a feather found at a park... she gives hugs, talks to, and cuddles her inanimate objects. She will spend her day with her "thing", whatever it may be, all day long. She is very tender and kind... not to mention creative.

Should I continue to encourage this love of things that are perishable? Perhaps this is why our house has odd odors.

Enjoyng Lake Tahoe

Last week we were lucky enough to get to Lake Tahoe on a 74 degree day, which was perfect. Jody jumped in the freezng water (in his cheetah euro... I thought posting the pictures would be too racy) and entertained a group of 90 year olds who applauded his bravery. It was quite nice to get away for the day and get some sun so people don't mistake us for that guy in the movie Powder.
