Heavenly Home and Roadmaster

The angels are rejoicing... can't you tell! Our home is 96% organized!!! The boxes are unpacked and our life is slowly getting to some sort of normalcy. Anyways, it was a glorious sunset and a good reminder to keep on looking up and trusting in Heavenly Father.

September 1,2009... Signed, Sealed and Delivered

It's official. My husband spoils me. We have the keys to our new home.
Signing the papers was smooth. Our children angels for 2 1/2 hours while we put pen to pad.
Debbie, Carol and the title lady were super. Wells Fargo made us a little nervous as it took 5 people and 40 minutes to make a cashier's check. Really? Ghetto bank.
Painting has gone great. Seeing as Joe has done all of it.
Moving boxes has gone great. Seeing as Joe has done all of it.
Seriously, he is super buff. Nice arms. I hope they never have to be amputated. Yum.
(As in spectacular arms, not in eating amputated human flesh)
I made a valence for the play room and painted some used thrift items. (Pictures later)
Friday will be the big move. Saturday Mr. Ibarra comes! Sunday is my son's blessing.
Gina's baby shower in a week. Christina's birthday party the week after. And hopefully Ronja will be here with Amyra!
And then I plan on doing absolutely nothing.
Seriously, I'm going out to the desert and riding on a horse with no name.
(I just finished Stargirl again by Jerry Spinelli... seriously, BEST book ever)
And we were driving to Papa's when we saw a tarantula the size of my daughter's head just walking down the street. The girls have been talking about it non stop. Pretty creepy. I hope someone ran it over. I couldn't, seeing as it's one of God's creatures. I know, totally hypocritical.

Moving!! Hoo-ray!

So we close on our new house on Aug. 31!! We are very excited and very blessed. The appraisal from the bank came in $20,000 more than what we are paying, so we have some equity already! Although, we don't plan on selling anytime soon. :) Today the girls and I played in the backyard of our future home for a half an hour. I hope we don't get arrested for trespassing. I just love everything about the house. Our real estate agent Carol has been wonderful and worked with us for over a year! Sometimes we'd see her 3 times a week! Talk about a trooper. I've seen more houses than I've ever wanted too. But now we're done. God is very good to us. We'll probably move in mid-September.

I fear posting this....

So this is the ?? 3rd house we've put a bid on now? No wait. 4th. But this is the one.... I know it! It has a water fountain in the backyard and an orange kitchen.... it's meant to be. It's a short sale, yes, you guessed it. So we'll probably know in a year or two whether we got it. :) But we know God is watching over us and His timing is perfect in every single way.

Nothing in this life is Chance

God is over us.

Today was a usual day. Almost every week I still look at houses because prices are dropping and you just never know. And boy... am I glad that I kept on looking.

Today I found a house I loved. 4 bedrooms 2 3/4 bath. With a huge backyard. With a 3 car garage. With a quiet cul-de-sac location right down the street from the folks home. For an EXCELLENT price. Mind you this was after looking at 3 other houses, 1 with a "bird room" where the birds were let wild... and the owners hadn't cleaned... and "Manuel is gay" was scribbled all over the walls. Really though... this is after at least 100 homes I've looked at. It's been a long process.
Today we were approved on the house we liked on Chaucer to go ahead and start escrow. After 3 months....ahhh short sales.

We had a big choice to make. And we went with the bigger back yard, cozy porch, and wood flooring. Although we are going to have to do a lot of painting and buy some area rugs!!!!
I know God watches over us. His timing is amazing. He is perfection. I'm really humbled that He is willing to take care of us when we don't deserve it. I love this house. I hope we get it. It is another short sale... so here's to being patient!!

Wow.

We put a bid in on a short sale house awhile ago, but just in case it falls through we've continued to look at houses. And what should we find? A house with a large... large plant smack dab in the front of the house. It makes me wonder if they illegally held monkeys as pets there. Poor monkeys.

The Bid is In

The bid is in... will it be accepted, will it be rejected, will they counter offer? I must admit we put a low bid in and were hardballs about it. I'm excited. I'm nervous. I'm peaceful for today. I'm tired. Our real estate agent spent from 8:30 PM to 11:00 PM at our house explaining and doing paper work.

So now, we wait.
