Hot August Nights

We had a nice time at Hot August Nights at the GSR getting 2nd hand pot smoke and seeing all the classic cars. KC and The Sunshine Band was playing. Its just nice being around people. I love to see all the different people, what they are wearing, what makes them smile, and all the weirdos too.

Biker Kids

The electric bike is a hit. Eli has the travel bug and doesn't like to stay put anymore.

Summer Rain

We've enjoyed a few days of summer storms. Sometimes it's a drizzle and sometimes it's pouring like a waterfall. Either way, we are grateful desert goers for any water we can get.

Grateful for good leaders for my kiddos

Ella is in Activity Day Girls at church and I couldn't be happier about Kathy being one of her wonderful leaders. No one gets paid in our church, but most serve because they are loving, kind, and phenomenal people. She had such a great time and is looking forward to learning and growing with other girls her age!

Pride

Reno Pride was rather big this year! I was very happy about it. Of course, the first things we saw on parade were strippers and the Satanic club, but other than that it was very mild. It was just Ella and me and we walked at least 4 miles in the heat. The parade was festive and fun, but the line to get in was a joke. There was no way I was going to wait in line, but we somehow had to get back to our car on the other side of the Truckee river. There was one other couple in the same conundrum. We ended up being super ghetto and just crossing the river into pride without waiting in line. It was FABULOUS!!! Now Ella could basically trick or treat for rainbow goods and candy.

We go to pride to show our love and support of all people.

Lake Day with Neighbors

I'm sad that Christina and Maria never had playmates. They only had each other. Eli and Ella on the other hand have the best little neighborhood gang. We have spent the summer in and out of each other's houses. Willow and Barret basically live here and I love it. We had a great sunset at Tahoe! Eli took a little bit of a fall. Some big guys were jumping off some big rocks, but on our climb to check it out, he slipped. He took off 3 layers of skin, but was super brave. We wont be jumping off those rocks anytime soon.
