And so comes the time of year...

When I finally get through to them, break annoying habits, and have a cohesive classroom that works together in kindness and love.

School Festivities

At work we have a raffle with tickets earned by dress up days. Ugly sweater day was great with my co-workers. Here is my most favorite reindeer painting by Mr. King. I swear this dude is going to end up like Tim Burton one day. It just screams holiday magic though....

Nutcracker Field Trip

It was another great field trip. It's amazing how excited they get and how lucky I am to get to go with them on their first bus trip. Everyone did great... the key is just expecting to sit 10 minutes and shuttle kids to the bathroom the rest of the time.

Christmas Dates

Let the holiday- the relaxing part- begin!! Sushi dinner, Peppermill ice cream, and game time at the arcade. Ella won a bonus ticket round and got treasures that were probably worth 1/4 of what we spent. Why are arcades so exciting?

The next day we spent time shopping at the mall and being chauffeured by Maria. It rained and snowed. Eli was pretty sick and not able to eat for 2 days, but he is on the mend.

Activity Day Girls

Kathy puts on the most amazing activities without fail. I truly think she has been the best leader for my girls these past years and a reason why they come to church. She was so thoughtful and did a giving tree type activity for some of the poorer students at my school. My counselor was almost in tears at the generosity.

Love these kiddos

Teaching is hard, but worth it. I am blessed to have the little friends that I do.

Annual Cousin Cookie Party: 10th Anniversary

It is really weird to look back at the humble origins of this holiday tradition. In my opinion, it has gotten a bit ridiculous... but... it's family!!!

We had another great year getting together!!! We ate, we played, we talked, we reminisced, and we looked at Tinder/Bumble for Cousin Lex. Party favors included squishmellows from Costco.

Friends came, cookies were eaten and decorated, and it was the best way to start out the Christmas season.
