June 6- He-Man Almost

Jody and I were ready for the weekend and his childhood remake movie of He-Man Masters of the Universe. It was campy and bad and kind of funny. However, halfway through the movie the power went out. It's a leery feeling being in the dark with strangers and the knowledge that people use weapons the wrong way. My immediate thought was there was a shooter, then someone shouted out that there was probably a fire. Someone was asking why people were whispering. We decided to just go. Because of the wind, the power was out on the whole block and some of the street lights weren't even working. We went to an Indian restaurant that Sharat from the RTO recommended. It was excellent and masculine and delicious!  A perfect way to end He-Man.

 

April 13- Breakfast and Too Much Sugar

We overdid it. I felt it. Sacramento has too much good food and we also had to check out a new Italian Bakery in town.... so 40 lbs later. But Bacon and Butter in Sacramento is LIFE. We also were able to hit a thrift store while waiting for our place in line. We were able to get Maria some Enya CDS and Jody a teeny tiny pair of yellow shorts.

 

April 12-

I cant even describe Kraftwork. 4 Germans that stood for 2 hours and we all nodded our heads. Previously Jody and I got German food... for the win!! Super vinegary but very whole and filling. The tickets were free from Jody's coworker. The parking lot of the GSR was filled with VWs. It was very fun and a great memory to have.

 

March 23- Sushi and Death

I ran 10 miles with Alex because the day after our marathon his father passed away unexpectedly. It is so hard to watch someone you love suffer. Jody and I ate some sushi that night, it's so nice to spend time with him. I overate as usual. So glad to be on Spring Break.

 

Jan. 15- MLK Banquet

I am hurt. I'm like an injured animal. I don't even know what I want anymore other than to sleep.

 

Jan. 5- GSR New Cake Found

Finding delicious cake at a casino after the El Dorado shut down is a win.
