Fastest 5K ever
3.1 miles. Apparently I thought it was 3.25. Whatever.
That's a 7 min 15 sec mile pace.
Don't think I will ever get a faster time. My knee is pretty wonky now, but it was worth it.
Organizing the Legos
The lego dinosaur bin broke and wasn't very functional, so we got some different storage options.
It was a family affair for me and the kids as we sorted and organized. It was tedious and brutal on our backs, but just proof of how wonderful we together to get things done. It made my heart proud that everyone would do this for Elijah. Time is love. He helped too!! And when he woke up this morning at 6:30AM he was thrilled to be able to build.
Snow Week
The last week of January was a bit crazy weather wise. We ended up having 3 delayed start days at school as well as 2 snow days. I'm not going to lie. It was a needed break. It was nice to do a full hour of cardio at the gym as well as weights. I'm starting to meet with a nutritionist to see how I can better sustain all the physical work I do.
Jody was very kind and let us take the Honda with AWD. Not going to lie.... loved it and felt so safe driving on the icy roads.
Feel the Bern
Life in a pandemic has lead to increased online activity, as if we weren't already saturated with it. It's brought out the worst and best of humanity. With the recent win of Joe Biden and Kamala Harris as our President and VP came the inauguration. As well as the ability to finally breathe again.
At the inauguration Bernie Sanders (who I love) just wanted to stay warm. He became an internet sensation. It was quite funny.

Jumping with a school friend
Eli has 3 boys total in his class. We invited them both, but only 1 called so we took him out to jump. He was very nice. He doesn't get out much and thought we were in southern Nevada. We definitely got our exercise. We enjoyed a lunch at Scheel's together and some time at the park. It was a really good day spending time with Eli's friend.
Bloody Teeth.... It just doesn't phase him.
Eli lost a tooth and came downstairs dripping blood from his mouth.... again. He soaked through one of the towels, kept the wonky silver thing and lucked out with the tooth fairy getting a lego minecraft kit.

Sledding!
The kids and I headed up to Mt. Rose meadows and it was absolutely lovely. It wasn't too crowded, the weather wasn't frigid, and we had good gear to keep us warm. Although it did take a good 15 minutes trying to get out of the house.... did you remember?? We had a great drive up and down. We walked up the hill to sled 100 times... or so it felt like. And we ate some snow too. It was really fun and a great way to end winter break.
