Tareon’s baby shower

Ramya knows how to throw an amazing shower. It was amazing because they rented out the discovery museum and the kids got it all to themselves. It is such a blessing that they’re able to have this little girl they have been trying for so long. There of been lots of prayers said.

We enjoyed some delicious empanadas and donuts and it was a fabulous way to spend our Saturday night.

I’ve been trying to figure out how to balance weightlifting with a distance running for a long time now. Last year I gave up weights for a month to work on my time and beat my half marathon record. But this year I’m looking more for distance and strength not necessarily speed. So I saw this guy on TickTock I don’t know how valid this is however when I run I make sure my heart rate is no more than 150 and this week I said a bunch of PR‘s in lifting and I did a 20 mile run. For the week I had 46 miles and I feel pretty good. I haven’t been crazy with the sugar and I’ve been eating until I feel full. We’ll see how this goes. But so far so good.

Pt

Joe’s been working really hard to rehabilitate his knee. He’s up and walking 1000 steps a day and doing his exercises religiously. It’s been really nice to take him to physical therapy and then enjoy a little lunch and treat after.

Park time

You get these weird days where the weather is in the 60s and you just have to go to the park!

Beautiful Covid Days

Getting tested for covid is a mess. They say you will get your results right away, but you don’t. After 3 days Maria felt better so she went to school . Then we got the call that she tested positive. We ended up quarantine and my poor class couldn’t find a sub so I worked from home. It wasn’t too bad.

Fortunately everyone is feeling better.

I waited in a 2 hour line in 20 degrees. It was a mess. 

Covid Dance

They danced, they had fun with friends, and then caught the omicron version of Covid. Fortunately it was pretty mild, like a bad cold.

New Years

Poor Joe was stuck at home while we headed out to Fallon for fireworks, freezing, and fun. There was no bonfire but that meant more time for ice cream.

Macy’s still has some options. The girls were excited to find something for a New Year’s dance.
