Feb. 21- My Calm and Peace

My mind is always running a 100 miles a minute. Thank goodness God is always there for us.

Feb. 20- Thought on Tap

Jody was on a panel to discuss the recent fall out from the election and how it's affecting the community. He did a great job speaking to the importance of why we need to work together and what has worked in the past. It was nice to see him in his element. He is always confident and well poised when it comes to speaking.

Feb. 15- How to spend your birthday

Ella was very excited to have a friend spend the night and we ended up taking them to Legend's for a fun time out on the Ferris Wheel and at Claire's and Five Below. We enjoyed a taco night dinner and it was a very fun day with a very fun lovely lady!

Ella at 11 loves all things goats, sanrio, singing, dancing and anything girly girly. She wears sweatshirts and pajama pants on a daily basis and can be caught playing fortnight with her cousins or Ollie. She is a serious swimmer and works hard at school. We are lucky that she is so amazing and patient and kind.

Feb. 15- Sanrio Ella turns 11

Ella wanted a Sanrio Party for turning 11 years old! She did good not inviting a million people and we had a lovely group. It was pretty simple. Slime making, candy sushi making, pinata and a who knows Ella best game. Maria does obviously, but Summer and Ahlana won it. Maria was a life saver with the slime. Nina and Saul were awesome cleaning up spills and helping out wherever needed. Jody did his pinata duty and it broke the 3rd child in, Ella broke it.

It seemed like everyone had a good time and we are so blessed to have so many friends who love and spoil our baby girl.

Feb. 13- Valentine's Day A Bit Early

As Jody and I work to build our new relationship after everything, I find myself in many dichotomies and it's hard. I'm not going to lie. I probably have depression. But it's what my life is.

Valentine's was a day early. I had told Jody no gifts, but I desperately wanted a gift. I don't like having to ask but I knew I had to say something. I equate gifts with love and affection and I was giving mixed messages. He was very generous and paid for my Eugene Marathon. I got him a pair of hiking boots. We went to dinner at Thai food and there was no crowd. The weather was very gloomy but it was nice to be able to talk and enjoy good food.

We enjoyed a sundae at the Peppermill and broke our no sugar streak. The addiction is real.

Feb. 11- Talented Children

Christina saved a man's life by CPR. Maria finished her beautiful blanket. Eli ranked up and Ella took high point.

Feb. 10- Ranking Up

Papa pinned Elijah at Civil Air Patrol. He's now a Cadet Airman First Class.

Feb. 9- Valentine's Minden Meet

We have to split up now. Papa takes the afternoon with Ella and we do the morning with Elijah. Chase spent the night and we had a lovely time watching the boys support each other and all their friends while trying their best! We ate at the Carson Valley Inn (do not recommend) and had a peaceful morning. Ella took high point!! So proud of our children staying healthy!!

Feb. 2- Farmers Market

We had a big laugh. A type of laugh where we realize we are very privileged. We went to the pasta van/stand and decided to get some delicious homemade pasta. We chose 3 packages.
$70.
We paid because we were in shock. But honestly, never again. Farmer's market has a tendency to be quite expensive even though it's such good quality.
