A Day to Myself

Man. I am so glad to REST!!!! I am so glad to sleep, work out when I want, have more time with my kiddos, be able to read, sleep better. I needed a day to decompress, so I went to get a pedicure by myself (I would have taken Nina and Maria but apparently it's 18 over because you can go nude??) and relax at the Peppermill Spa. I get a local's discount and it is completely worth it. I especially loved the sauna and the cold plunge tank. My body was very grateful!! Also, I'm grateful to be running outside again WHEN I WANT!!!! I clocked in some great hill work!!

 

Summer is HERE!!!!

Summer is here! Now if only the weather will cooperate. We've had quite a few windy and cold days unfortunately.

 

Best Teaching Mentor

I am really grateful for Marie. We had a few squabbles, due to the stress of covid, but for the most part we worked so well together. Marie has an open mind, is a deep thinker, and she loves what she does. She is very respectful, kind, and a pleasure to work with. I'm grateful for her as a coworker but also as a friend. She was willing to help with whatever and always listen. 

I would have died without her help technology wise. Honestly, she did so much to help me understand the grading platform and whiteboard. I'm sad she is moving to 2nd but forever grateful for the 3 years we had together.

 

Field Day and the end of the school year

I am so luck that I love where and who I work with. Teaching is an incredible profession, yet it has its struggles. I am fortunate that I am able to work through the hard and find the good in each day. This class was really wonderful. They were a thoughtful, quick to understand bunch. I teach the best of humanity in 1st grade. I had great parents that were supportive. It was a good year.... but I am glad it is done!!! My body needs sleep!!!

Best Papa and Dad anyone could ever ask for. Dad continually is there for us, a rock. We are so grateful for all his help, support, and love. We got him an apple watch and I can't wait to compete!!!

 

Another Great Date Night Furry Style

We were tired after eating a yummy Thai dinner, so tired I didn't want to go food shopping. And yet, Jody says let's get some steps in at the GSR. I agreed. AND IT WAS THE FURRY CONVENTION!!!!!

It was so crazy and weird. I made a TikTok of it and gained 10 furry followers.

 

Senior Varsity Swim Dinner

Well, Christina rocked swimming. She dedicated many hours, many dollars driving, and had the most amazing attitude. She loved swimming, loved her coaches, the friends she made, and set a great example of persistence. She tried her best, always cheered for team mates, and then got the most lame page for sports in the yearbook. Go fig.

Maria also loved her first year of swim. She worked hard, made friends, and had a great attitude. It's not easy after having knee surgery, but she did it!

 

Janky Lemonade Stand

1 inch cups, $10 worth of lemonade and somehow.... SOMEHOW!!!! He makes $60!!

 

Summer Hair

Kala is the best. Seriously. It's amazing having someone you trust to do your hair.

 

CTE Awards

Christina finished 2 special programs at her high school. The animation and early childhood program.

She excelled in both.... especially the part where she came to my classroom to teach. Oh wait.

That was her skip period. Needless to say, we are so proud of her. She works so hard and is so responsible.
