Camping!!! Easiest one yet!

The girls had opened and read their Friend magazine cover to cover. They wanted to do the indoor camping activity and so we did!!!

Best and easiest camping trip yet!!

We had tinfoil dinners, attempted to watch old 80's movies.... wow. Kind of not appropriate for kids!!
Settled on Honey, I shrunk the kids.
Also, as I was breastfeeding the baby, I heard a horrible blood curdling scream. It was Maria....
Daddy had attempted to try Ghostbusters.

We loved making s'mores and the girls even practiced lighting matches.
They are so scared of them.
I'm hoping they can master how to use them without the fear.
At the same time, I'm glad they have a healthy respect for what little matches can do.

Our tent was pretty dirty, so we used our shade tent, hung some "stars" and turned on the sound soother to "summer night'.

The girls also spent a long time creating a river with fish for us to fish!!
Daddy was excited about all the glitter.

Discovery Museum- Mastered 1 1/2 hours

It's too hot to go out. So when the kids say somewhere air conditioned, I'm like sure. Why not.
Especially the Discovery Museum.
Granted, they (the girls) usually get bored after an hour.
But it's still a fun hour!!

Love this fun face!

Eli loved this place on the water. He was there a good 20 minutes. It was funny to watch him because he really takes to playing with older boys. I think it's because he talks so well and is friendly.

One of my favorite things about the Discovery Museum is it's right down the street from my Great Grandmother's old house. I have such happy memories of her. Yaya Irene was amazing. She had an apricot tree and I loved to pick them. We would have buckets full from the one tree!! They were so sweet!

Happy Squishy Baby!!!

I love these rolls!!!!!

Ella is such a joy. She is just the happiest, loveliest little baby!!!

She is loving her toes and sitting up with support!
She wakes up 2-4 times a night.
She loves to laugh and does AMAZING in the car!!!

Ella has also started the "wet razz" and loves to give kisses!! We put her by our cheek and she fully opens her mouth and leans forward to kiss!! Then she'll giggle about it!

Maria's First Actual "Lost" tooth

So Christina's hand tickled Maria in the morning, Maria was half asleep and whacked herself in the mouth... and voila!!!

She was very excited.

The tooth fairy left her a note and some Disney Fairy Squinkies.

Hooray!!!

Drumroll..... Swimmers Rash!!!

So after a call from our Pediatrician, we have swimmers rash!!!

Guess what that means.... Pyramid Lake is Parasitic Puss!! JUST SAY NO!!!

Just grateful it's nothing serious!! And that it's not contagious!

Warning: CUTE BABY MOST KISSABLE CHEEKS EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ella likes to suck in her lower lip these days.

Utterly ADORABLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

LOOK AT THOSE CHEEKS!!!

I know. I know.

I'm the most blessed mommy in the world!!!

Friday Night & A Full Body Rash

We headed out to the fountains at the movie theaters because we haven't been there all summer.
It was cold!!

But of course the kids had fun. While we were there I noticed some small red bumps on Christina.
I don't know what they are.
She's got about 30 of them, they don't itch.
She has some cold symptoms, so I'm thinking the virus might be causing it.
Really... I'm just hoping she didn't get a parasite or dengue fever from Pyramid Lake.

She's eating fine, no fever.

Spreading love, Spreading Dengue.

Pyramid Lake

There was a large group of gals who headed out for the day to Pyramid. We had a lovely time together. It was really hazy, but you couldn't smell the smoke.
Everyone had lots of fun together and it was fabulous watching the dynamic of the children together.

Eli is one of a kind. He seriously has this amazing knack to avoid weirdos.

I really don't think they got out of the water for more than 10 minutes total.
We were there 7 hours.
True story.
I had soup on the stove and thought we'd be back in 3 hours. Totally forgot about it until the way home. THANK YOU LORD!!! The house didn't burn down!!!

We enjoyed the fun boats everyone brought. Totally need to invest in one!!

Ah Pyramid. The dragonflies were very cool. The mosquitos and thorns, not so much.

We were out at Sutter's beach... a lot more family friend. The drop off is less quick than at Wino beach.

Our Bishop is wonderful. He was the only man there and he was so kind to take everyone out to the deep end so they could jump off the boat.

It was really relaxing. Lil Ella was perfect. We were pros at setting up!!!
The kiddos got all the toys, I got the shade tent up and down....
Efficient!!

Thank you Lord for safe travel and for the miracle of the soup!!

** Also as a side note, Joe had quite the miracle. His car has been having some trouble and today as he was driving he stalled out RIGHT IN FRONT of the auto mechanics. Talk about a blessing in the 100 degree heat and traffic!!! The car is fixed and I just feel so blessed that this was much easier than it could have been! **

July 15, 5 years ago....

Art for our Jojo

We had a lovely day. It was a happy day spent with our cousins Amyra, Mya, Teefy and Aunty Ram.
We played, laughed...
it was hot!

The years keep on passing. His life is woven into mine. His soul, my soul.
He is protector over my children.
I know he is near. So near.
My life is so happy. My hope to see him, bright.

I was looking at pictures. I'd never noticed the slogan on our moving truck the day he died,
"Make the better move."
Indeed he did. This life is precious. But he had a better move.
Heavenly Father's wisdom perfect.
