Loving Older Brother

Eli loves to cuddle Ella and always tells me to take a picture!!

2 months

We had Ella's 2 month check up...

12 lbs 4 oz (95%)
34" (90%)

She is a love dove. The most wonderful little baby.
She is latch free!!! (Knock on wood!)
She enjoys her milk, sleeping, and her bath.

She is super peaceful and mellow. She loves her siblings.
But mommy gets the most smiles from her!!!

We had a substitute doctor for her check up because her doctor had an emergency. Dr.T wasn't my favorite. I wish medical professionals were less "numbers" and more supportive. For example, her head circumference didn't grow too much and he said we need to watch that. Why? What are we going to do to have her grow a bigger head? Is it a sign of cancer?
I think her head is perfect and beautiful.
And then he noticed that we had Joe, who died of SIDS and kept on saying, "Wow. That's just really horrible. Really, really terrible."
I told him that I know God lives and that we have a little angel watching our backs, to which he responded:
"Wow."
Thank you. Can we get the shots and go? The nurse was very serious and kind of freaked me out about the shots. I ended up crying, but Ella did so well, that I calmed down quick.

She hasn't been too cranky, but I have been giving her Tylenol, so hopefully that's helping.

Organization for the bows... finally....

I finally figured out a way to get all our bows organized!!!
Hooray!!!
I just used a wreath form from Wal-Mart. Very easy to get on and off!!

Easter at Papa and Yaya's

We had such a lovely time at Papa and Yaya's. Dad cooked a wonderful meal as usual and we enjoyed hunting for lots of eggs. The Easter Bunny had wonderful stuffers like sea creatures and glitter slime!!
Thanks Easter Bunny!!

Yaya Sofia bought the kiddos Easter Baskets. They were so excited!!
There was actually one great little toy that shot a car into the air from a gun.
It was very Fast and Furious-ish.

Yaya Sofia was having great conversations.... "You joined a fraternity? So what do you do then?"
Or to Nina.... "I never want you to have pain, so if you have pain you think of me and the pain will go away." Such love and tenderness!!!

The kiddos always have so much fun!!! We also got to have Aunty Tobi over. We had to break the news to her that the tablet she got Maria broke. Fortunately, it's under warranty.

And then there was even a surprise in the front yard!! Super fun water guns!!!
Needless to say, everyone got SOAKED.

It's tiring being such a good daddy!!!

Thanks everyone for such a wonderful Easter!!

Tumbleweeds Egg Hunt and S.Crossing Easter Fair

Nancy got Ella this bee-utiful ensemble. She looked adorable!! And I love the fun little shoes!!
Perfect for the spring!

My parents signed us up for their HOA Easter Egg Hunt. IT WAS FABULOUS!!!
Perfectly organized, wonderful families, great loot. Really, it was just plain awesome.
So much better than the giant community egg hunts we've been to.

Our friend Carter even won the golden egg that had $5 in it!!! Score!!!

I have a sick fascination with the S.Crossing "fairs" they put on. It just attracts so many classic "Reno" people. Plus, there is nothing ever there and yet a lot of people come out for it.
It's so bizarre. I really do think this will be our last time going there. We were right on time and they hadn't even begun to set up.

But we were able to get some 2nd hand smoke....

See pretty hair....

And we totally rushed the Easter Bunny for a picture while 40 people lined up behind us. We were there a total of 4-5 minutes. Was it worth it?

NO!

The Easter Bunny Comes.....

The Easter Bunny always comes on Saturday morning. Such a treat!! The girls got crochet needles and yarn and Eli got a soccer ball just the right size for him!!

Mommy woke up a little late so breakfast was peeps, chocolate and lots of jellybeans. We tried to get some cereal and toast down but everyone was pretty full.

Thanks Easter bunny!!! Also, the girls decided to leave out carrots this year for the bunny. He didn't eat any. We figure maybe he was going so fast he didn't see??

Glow in the Dark Egg Hunt

We had a glow in the dark egg hunt that was really fun. I added scriptures about Christ being the light of the world in the eggs also.

It was such a nice time together to reflect on the true meaning of Easter. I felt the spirit strongly as we bore testimonies.

I know that no matter how dark, Christ will always be our light. He loves us.

Dying Easter Eggs

We used the traditional vinegar and food coloring. Christina randomly decided to do ombre shaded eggs. Fun times!! What's up with the egg prices going up??

That Time of Year Again....Hooray!!!

Hang on tight Eli!!!

Elijah is one happy little boy and could spend all day outside!! It's even extra fun because of the sense of danger with the ant hill. Even though they are scared of the ants, they are constantly driving over this hill and mysteriously getting "stuck".

If Eli drives, you end up in a tree.

So again buddy, just hang on tight and enjoy the ride!!
