Manners, Manners, Manners
I just love that my little young ladies, are just that, ladies. Today was library reading time, as well as temper tantrum time and running like wild animal time. Now I'm all for running around like wild animals, just not at the library or church. My daughters don't have that problem though. I was just so pleased because Christina remembered her pleases and thank you's without my prompting, she waited her turn in line to get a stamp patiently even when others cut, and then when getting a drink at the water fountain, she told another little boy he could go first. She sang all the songs, she sat still for all the books, she danced when it was time to dance... and she does this all the time! I'm so blessed to have a daughter who listens, her middle name was truly inspired- naomi, hebrew for pleasant. Maria, though just 4 months, is an angel also. We went through a week of waking up every hour or 40 minutes at night, and I thought I would die. However, it was just a growth spurt and now we are sleeping 3 hours at a time and feeding 7 minutes 3 hours sleeping.... heavenly I tell you! I was told at church on Sunday that babies don't need to be fed or rocked at night, that you should just let them cry. I say do whatever works for you, that doesn't work for me. I always tell Christina the reason I hold Maria so much is because of a simple scripture I read that God is always quick to answer the cries of His people, to which she responds, "You apply the scriptures in your life."

The Gift of the Moly Harp

So I was recently called to be the 2nd counselor in the Primary Presidency and am in total heaven. I was quite worried having a 4 month old and all, seeing as I don't pump my milk or give binkies, but so far all is well. I got to teach last Sunday about the gift of the holy ghost and it was fantastic. Every friend there learned something and it was just fun! I then did the sharing time (condensed to like 3 minutes) with our little ones. Christina was great, when I asked her after our lesson what does the holy ghost do for us, she said, "It's the Moly Harp. And the Moly Harp guides us." We did blindfolds showing the the Holy Ghost leads us, and we've been playing this game at least once a day now! I'm amazed at how quick she always is.

Christina's First Little Japanese Friend

We had a wonderful visit from Christina (beloved housegirl 2000/2001) and Aiko this weekend! A red head japanese girl? Yes, it's true. Of course, they were loving little angels and played perfectly together... hint hint... move to reno? They could start the quarter race club- slogan "We may be watered down racially, but we still get scholarships." Fantastic!
