"Our little pet" or "Budhist Tender" or "Why?"

The other day I almost had a heart attack. Mock me if you will, but I've never lived in Texas. This little fellow/gal is HUUUUUUUUUUUUGE to me!!!

Being the peaceful person I am, I didn't kill it. I asked Jody to, but he wouldn't. So there it sits in our lavender. According to a google search we think it's Argiope Aurantia, "harmless"... bites compared to bee stings.

Fun times. It just stays in the same spot. Which is good. Not too hyper. But I'm thinking I'm going to have my dad capture it and release it into the wild somewhere. Dad? You game??

Verdi & Books

I searched for something fun to do today and came across a few simple hikes in Verdi. Crystal Peak Park.
It was beautiful weather, just a little windy!!

The kids loved throwing rocks in the pond.... Eli wondered why the water was black. Me too little bud, me too.

Leeches!! This wonderful sign had everyone being extra careful on the docks!

Eli has a runny nose. Hoping he feels better soon! He was such a champ though. I love holding his hand and having him want to be near me.

Water break!

It was so green, fresh and crisp. Yellow leaves were already piling up!!! It was definitely a taste of fall!

Our picnic was lovely, just again a bit windy. We were discussing how we don't have very good luck for picnics. (Last one thunderstorm, rain at Bower's....)

Christina really wanted a picture of this leaf.

There's our Truckee River!

Getting tired! But first a quick stop to the Verdi Library. I've never been there before!!

The girls found a TON of books!! Our library has no limit on the number of books you can check out. What a blessing!!! We are so privileged to live in this country where knowledge is free!!! I was telling the kids... my favorite places on earth to be are with them/family, the temple, and the library!!

They had a very interesting display on bird eggs and nests. We liked the hummingbird nest made out of spider web silk!

Eli's tiger that wasn't really a tiger because it wasn't orange.

29!!!
Now, just to not lose them!!

And asleep for nap!!!
Perfect for mommy to blog and remember such a good and happy day together!!

Stamp Man

I just have to say that every morning taking Elijah to preschool is such a joy. He runs up to his teachers, gives them hugs and high fives. He truly LOVES going to school.

I can't even wish for a better start to his education journey in life and am so grateful for great teachers who make my children feel loved and special.

Every single day now, he's come home with 2 or 3 stamps. He is the only one to do so. Miss Kathi says that he is just the biggest helper, always willing to do whatever she needs. He is a leader in the class and an example.

And I'm so proud of him!!!! He is such a happy, joyful child full of life and excitement. He is so expressive and funny.

Keep up the great work Mr. Eli!!!

Greek Fest 2015!!! OPA!!!

We had an enjoyable time with family at the Reno Greek Festival! The weather was perfect, the food even better, and of course the company awesome! We stayed until 9:30PM, the kids were party animals!!!

Loved the salad, tiropita, and spanakopita!

Yaya and Theo Angelo

Little Greek girl!!!

Always happy to see daddy!

OPA!!!

Loukomades!!! Yum!!!!

Yaya Sofia always has the magic touch! She must have fed Ella 3 pounds of food!!

There was some lady there that couldn't stop touching Ella. I don't know what was up with her but she just kept rubbing her arm and saying how soft she was.

Kourabeides! All over mommy's pants!!!

Of course you can't see our cousin, but we loved watching him dance!

It was a great night! Thanks Papa and Yaya!!!

SSSC

I'm really loving the Spanish Springs Soccer Club. It's close to home and the coaches are awesome!!

The girls usually finish up homework or run around at the park. The weather has been super nice, so it's a great way to end the day!

Plus Eli gets to play with his best pal Jimmy!!

3 hours... Hidden Valley

They say time flies when you're having fun!! But we could definitely tell it had been 3 hours by the end of garage sale-ing in Hidden Valley!!

All I really wanted was to find a cane... alas. Next Saturday!

Joe was all about the power tools this time around. We found a booster seat for $3. A few cool feather boas. Joe got a free Nuclear Sub poster. A power sander. We got a free race track set that I promptly gave to goodwill 2 days later. Thanks Yaya for the fun!!!

Never know what you'll find!!!

Ryan & TaReon's Wedding

It was a wonderful time in Tahoe, being able to celebrate the marriage of Ram's brother Ryan. She actually was the one who introduced the two!

The venue was beautiful, but the company even better. Everyone looked gorgeous in their saris. We had a good time with the older girls, thanks Papa and Yaya!

Mrs.Fernandez and her sisters.

TaReon was stunning! Loved the succulents in her bouquet!

I was happy because they asked me to do the guestbook. It was nice being able to say hello to everyone as they came in.

The girls ran around and had a blast together!!! Congrats Ryan!!! Here's to a long and happy life together!
